President Muhammadu Buhari has inaugurated the Kalambaina 500 housing estate built by the state government at the cost N4.8 billion.
Buhari further stressed the need to give all Nigerians equal opportunities for self actualisation.
The president also urged Nigerians to continue to work for sustainable peace, unity and socioeconomic progress of the country.
The president commended the Sultan of Sokoto for being a fearless and tireless peacemaker and bridge builder within and outside Nigeria. He also hailed the sustained support and cooperation of the traditional rulers and the state governments to the Federal Government.
Buhari also commended Gov. Aminu Tambuwal for executing the project, and urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the facilities.
Tambuwal said that the houses were built as part of efforts to fulfil his campaign promises to the people.
The governor hailed Buhari for his support to the states, noting that the modest achievements were attributable to this gesture.
The Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Alhaji Bello Gwiwa, said that the estate was provided with road networks, water facilities and school networks, among others.
