Nigeria’s former Super Eagles and Everton FC Captain, Joseph Yobo has announced his retirement from active football.
A testimonial match is being planned in his honour. Manchester United captain, Wayne Rooney would lead a galaxy of European and African players to the Joseph Yobo Centenary to be played on May 27, 2016 at the Adokiye Amiesimaka stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
Those expected includes his ex-international colleagues and coaches such as David Moyes, Didier Drogba, Kolo Toure, and Samuel Eto Fils.
He is one of the nation’s football legends and was capped 100 times for the country and playing top flights football for over a decade.
