The Board of Shelter-Afrique has accepted the resignation of Mr. James Mugerwa from the position of Managing Director with effect from February 1, 2017.

Mr. Mugerwa has resigned in order to pursue other interests outside of Shelter Afrique. The Board takes this opportunity to express its gratitude to James for his commitment and service to the Company and wishes him every success in his future endeavours.

In view of this development, the Board has reconstituted the leadership team of Shelter-

Afrique as follows: Mr. Femi Adewole is the Acting Managing Director with immediate effect; Mr. Oumar Diop is the Acting Deputy Managing Director with immediate effect; and Mr. Vipya Harawa retains his position as Company Secretary/Director of Legal, Risk, and Compliance.

The Acting Managing Director, Mr. Femi Adewole has served Shelter Afrique for the past five years first as Director of Business Development and Operations and most recently as Director of Business Development.

He has 21 years of senior management experience in the real estate sector. He holds MSc degrees in Architecture and Land Economics as well as an MBA from the Warwick Business School.
