After a very fruitful meeting with the Acting President Prof.Yemi Osibanjo at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, Abia State Governor Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu and the President of Dangote Group, Alh Aliko Dangote have concluded arrangement on a partnership that will see Dangote Construction Ltd (Road construction arm of the conglomerate) provide Abia with a 5km stretch with the rigid cement pavement technology.
While congratulating the Governor on his recent supreme court victory, Alhaji Dangote commended Dr.Ikpeazu for his massive infrastructural development and committment to develop Abia into a destination of choice.
He assured that his company will support the Governor’s quest to develop Abia with world class infrastructures. He thanked the Governor for piloting the rigid cement pavement technology in road construction which he said was not just economical but also very durable.
In his remarks during the meeting, Dr Okechukwu Enelamah,the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, thanked the Governor for his untiring efforts towards infrastructural and economic development of the state. He said he has observed with keen interest the Governor’s efforts in road rehabilitation, promotion of home grown goods through the Made in Aba campaign, the massive agricultural revolution, youths and women empowerment amongst others.
He assured Dangote of the Federal government’s continuous support in his investment expansion drives and encouraged him to look the way of Abia.
