The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Alhaji Mohammed Bello will tomorrow perform the foundation laying ceremony of the new Novare Gateway Way Mall, Yar’Adua Expressway, Abuja.
Novare Gateway Mall, a project of Novare Real Estate Africa, which is currently valued to cost $68 million sits on an 18,000m2 expanse of property and includes 589 parking bays. Anchor tenants in the new Novare Gateway Mall will include Shoprite, and the Genesis Deluxe Cinema among others.
The development of the Mall project will be undertaken in two phases and the second phase of the development is poised to increase the lettable area of the Mall by 10,000m2.
Novare Real Estate Africa’s fourth commercial development in Nigeria, the Novare Gateway mall in the capital city of Abuja, is under contruction with the first phase of this flagship project scheduled to open during third quarter of 2017.
Novare Gateway, the largest development in the Novare Real Estate portfolio, will be located on the main 10-lane highway between Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, named after Nigeria’s first president, and the central business district. Novare Gateway will be the first building of stature most visitors will experience when arriving in Abuja from the airport.
Other malls in Abuja developed by Novare Real Estate Africa include the 8,267m2 Novare Apo mall (formerly the Grand Towers Abuja Mall) which is located approximately 18 km away from Novare Gateway to the south-east of greater Abuja area. In the North, Novare Real Estate Africa is developing the the 12,508m2 Novare Central, a mixed use centre consisting of both retail space and A-grade offices.
The management of the Mall is already in talks with a number of blue chip companies in a bid to guarantee an excellent and sophisticated mix of retailers with the Mall.
Taking into cognizance the security needs and comfort of prospective customers, the Mall is strategically located to allow for an easy entry and exit on to the Yar’Adua Expressway. Mall users will therefore have the pleasure of shopping with ease in a highly secured environment.
The new Novare Gateway Mall development is funded by the Novare Africa Property Fund I and II and financed by Stanbic IBTC.
Monterosa Construction Limited, also responsible for the Novare Mall in Lekki, Lagos, has been appointed as the lead construction company for the project, while other professional teams on the project include Kenna Partners, Stauch Vorster, Aurecon, and Best Africa.
The Novare Gateway Mall is the third Mall development project undertaken by Novare Real Estate Africa. Other Mall projects in its portfolio include the Novare Apo Mall, Abuja and the Novare Mall Lekki, Lagos which is set to open on the 30th of June, 2016.
The foundation laying ceremony of the new Novare Gateway Mall will be under the distinguished chairmanship of Professor Fabian Ajogwu, Chairman of the Novare Gateway Mall.
