In what appears to be a public condemnation of the Chris Giwa-led group’s litigation seeking to remove the current NFF President, Amaju Pinnick and board from office, Minister of Sports, Solomon Dalung has accused the plaintiffs in the case of attempting to bamboozle their way through the process.
Dalung made the point as he declared the Extra Ordinary Assembly of the NFF open in Abuja; the first official meeting of the NFF echelon since the nearly one week-old crisis which has engulfed the FA and which threatens sanctions from the World Governing body, FIFA.
The Minister also faulted the FIFA statues, poking holes at its inconsistencies and at the dishonesty of the individuals sworn to uphold it.
He described as “insincere” those who panic and have subscribed to be part of the football family, only to turn to state legal system in conflict resolutions.
