GOVERNOR Willie Obiano, has pledged his support to the Super Eagles ahead of the Russia 2018 World Cup Campaign.

The governor made the pledge while playing host to a delegation from the Federal Ministry of Youths and Sports.

The delegation was accompanied to the governor’s office by Bonaventure Enemali, Anambra State commissioner for Youths and Sports.

The group was in the state to seek support of the state government to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The team was received by Nkem Okeke, the deputy governor, who said the state was ready to develop the sports sector.

“The commissioner has the capacity to turn things around in the sector.’’

Jane Owoh, the zonal coordinator, Federal Ministry of Youths and Sport, who represented the Minister of Youth and Sports, Solomon Dalung called for state’s participation in the upcoming mundial.

“It is expected that delegates from various states would accompany Team Nigeria to Russia.’’

The competition will hold from June 14 to July 15.
