The  Real Estate Developers’ Association of Nigeria (REDAN), will tomorrow begin its first Building Exhibition at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.

The two-day exhibition, with themed, “Investing in Real Estate for Economic Recovery and Expansion” according to the  President, Real Estate Developers’ Association of Nigeria (REDAN), Rev. Ugochukwu Chime, said the forum will be an avenue to gain the attention of stake holders. “As an association of professionals, we engaged relevant stakeholders like Shelter Afrique as well as changing our constitution of operations.

“And we are asking people to come together so we can develop not only ourselves through this expo but to policies that can help in tackling housing problems.

“We have known the challenges for finding construction financing for developers and that is why we have worked out an MOU with Shelter Afrique and Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria to ensure seamless transactions from construction finance to off takers finance”

With the recent signing of the Two Billion Dollar REDAN, FMBN and Shelter Afrique Memorandum of Understanding [MOU] to fast track the provision of affordable housing for Nigerians, the president is calling all stakeholders to avail themselves to be part of the expo to enhance their understanding of the opportunities inherent within the MOU as it pertains to their businesses.

The chair person, REDAN [FCT chapter] Hajiya Binta Ibrahim also chimed in the apparent necessity for all stakeholders to be present at the expo.

The REDAN Building Expo in welcoming all levels of building manufacturers, investor’s innovators and entrepreneurs to showcase their laudable made in Nigeria Products and services at the exhibition, as it remains committed in collaborating with local producers for the expansion of their business against exorbitant foreign products

The Expo will have in attendance the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ike Ekweremadu as Special Guest of Honor, while the honorable Minister of FCT, Mohammed Bello will be the Guest of Honor. The Chief host of the REDAN Building Expo is the honorable Minister for State Power, Works and Housing, Hon. Mustapha Baba Shehuri.

Others are Prof. Charles Inyangete, Managing Director, Nigeria Mortgage Refinance Company and Mr. Richard Esin, Ag, Managing Director, FMBN and Femi Adewale the Acting managing Director Shelter Afrique.

Target audiences are estate developers, mass housing Off-takers, State Government Ministries of Land and Housing, Fund Managers, Commercial Banks and Professionals in the Construction Industry.

Others are Ministries, Department and Agencies with Staff Housing Projects, Primary Mortgage Banks and host of others.
